1979

Fillings

At the Fine Arts Academy of Amiens, first paintings called “Fillings”: regular repetition of a mould of a fabric fold and soaked with black painting on big sheets of newspaper.

1981

Studies at the Fine Arts Academy of Valence. Exhibition at the Culture House of Amiens. Carries out some painted books and various installations at the Fine Arts Academy of Valence. In Lyon the last film by Jean Luc Godard: “Sauve qui peut, la vie”.

1982

Colours

At the Fine Arts Academy of Rouen. Short films super 8 filmed on the road in search of the colour. Main characters: road sweepers, in orange and blue uniforms, the complementari colours associate in contrast with the grey of the town. The banks of the Senna, panels with maritime signs, water reflections. “Saint Barnaba cures the patients” by Veronese at Rouen Museum. Researches on the colour and on the colour field inspired to the American painting (Rothlko, Carl André, Mondrian, Kely), 1983: DNSEP (Superior National Diploma on Visual Arts).

1984

To the life

Paris. Drawings from life. Series “Gare du Nord”, the parks, drawings after the sculptures by Rodin and Maillol. He discovers at the Louvre the rooms dedicated to Poussin. Exhibition De Kooning at the Centre Beaubourg.

1988

Interiors
Portraits

Amiens. Main themes: interiors, self-portraits and portraits, always carried out from life. Reading of Antonin Artaud and Philippe Sollers. Exhibition at the Urbi Gallery in Amiens (1990), collective exhibition “l’art en Somme” Parmentier Space, Amiens (1991). Certificate at the University of Amiens. Teaches arts in extra educational courses.

1992

Summer landscapes
Self-portraits and easels

Lives and works in the area of Milan. Great comfort in front of the paintings by Bacon in Losanna and Venice. Series “Self-portrait” and “Easel”.

1995

The rape of the Sabine women
Figures

Drawings about the rape of the Sabine women which will create small sculptures. Kiekegaard: “ so, the occasion is sometimes the most and the least important thing, the biggest and the smallest, what counts the most and the least. In the end, nothing happens without an occasion and, nevertheless, the occasion doesn’t take any part in what happens”. Artaud: “We don’t need to see anything but we need to do everything with both hands and to look afterwards.”
